Our Mission

The aim of A More Perfect Pitch events is to significantly improve your face-to-face communications.

Why this Workshop

The concept for A More Perfect Pitch comes from Daimon's quest to integrate emotional clarity into daily life and to help others do that as well. His contribution to these workshops is EFT, an extraordinarily effective way to remove obstacles to emotional clarity. 

Obstacles to emotional clarity interfere with how we think, communicate, and perform. These obstacles set limits to what we can do or even imagine.

Reducing or eliminating emotional obstacles lets us  approach our full capabilities much more easily. Any reduction in emotional obstacles empowers us to do more, better and more easily. Or in other words, to be more successful. 

In business, things happen when someone says "yes." "Yes I want to find out more." "Yes, I want to buy what you are selling."

What comes before the "yes" (or the "no")? Very often it is the "pitch," meaning a presentation of some sort. It may be a few seconds (the famous elevator speech) or any other format. You get the green light to continue, or not. This is the make or break point.

"Yes" or "no" is your audience's reaction to your presentation. How you make your presentation is crucial.

What determines how they react? Two primary factors:

  1. Content and delivery
  2. Emotional clarity

The uniqueness and power of the A More Perfect Pitch workshop is that it addresses both parts, with synergistic, even breakthrough effect. 

Content and Delivery

Content and delivery includes the overall relevance of what you say, the information included, the order of information, the clarity and focus of what you are presenting, and how you present it. Lori is the expert here and will help you with content, structure, technique and delivery. This alone makes the workshop worthwhile.

We also use a structured way to access the collective intelligence of those in the workshop, providing audience feedback, validation, and ideas for improvement, all raw material you can use to evolve your pitch, right there in the workshop. 

Emotional Clarity

The other primary determinant of the yes/no response is how people react to you personally. That means how they experience your attitude toward them, toward yourself, and toward what you are presenting. If you are confident, if they feel a connection with you, is you are trustworthy in their eyes, you are on  your way. 

Assuming you are indeed honest and trustworthy, how you affect people is all about your degree of emotional clarity. The more emotional clarity, the more people want to work with you personally and the more they trust you.

We'll work on questions like these: 

  • Are you unconsciously anticipating failure, or are you open to what happens, including success?
  • Is your nervous system replaying scary experiences from the past and putting you into a frightened state before you start, or are you relaxed, present and available?
  • Are you transparent and responsive, or do you come across in some other way? 
  • Are you aware and in control of yourself, going with the flow while making your points in the context of the other person's interests, or are you stiff or scripted?
  • And so on.

You may think these are deep, difficult issues, but they show up immediately when you make your pitch in the workshop. Then EFT makes them surprisingly accessible to change.

Synergy and Breakthrough

The best part? As obstacles are neutralized, positive alternatives become available. You can move from anxious to relaxed, closed to open.

The synergy I mentioned? As you clear up emotional obstacles and open up to your genuine self, you'll actually think better. You'll have better ideas. You may have insights into how to communicate, what to say, what others are really interested in, how to present yourself, and other issues. You may see more deeply into what other people are experiencing, allowing you to connect all the better.
